Diversity in Textile Design: Works in Progress

Gustafson Gallery, 318 Gifford Building
Colorado State University
Sept. 26- Nov. 14, 2014
Graduate students from Design and Merchandising exhibit their textile designs.

The textiles for this exhibit were inspired by West African textiles.  They combined adinkra symbolism with named wax prints and that wrinkled wax look to make an interesting visual display of textiles.  The textiles were developed in the Design and Merchandising DM 542 class using the Kaledo Print software under the guidance of Dr. Diane Sparks.  The textiles were printed on silk broadcloth using a textile printer.
